I apologize for not posting yesterday. Due to technical difficulties beyond my control, I was unable to post yesterday. (Read: My computer and Diaryland were both having problems.) But enough of the excuses. The announcement. I have a new blog. I’ve been blogging there all month. There are two reasons for the move. I’ve been wanting to do something with a URL that I’ve owned for 5 years. I’ve finally gotten around to doing something with it. More than a blog, my new site will also serve as a repository for my writing, my book, and other projects I’m working on. I’ve been involved in quite a bit of freelance web consulting/website work and I need a place to put samples of my work. The other reason is that Diaryland, though I love it, has been having major technical difficulties. When I want to post it’s down or some other issue has come up. The technical issues yesterday just reinforced my decision. Now that I have my own page, I can post whenever I want. If you troll the website, it’s still being built. There’s nothing in the Portfolio or About sections. There is nothing on the homepage yet. In the next few weeks I hope to have all of that filled in. But there is a blog and a section from my book up. Over the next few months, I hope to move all of my past entries to my current blog. The most difficult thing about moving a blog is that after over three years of writing here, I’ve built up an audience and many don’t follow over/link to the new site. That’s understandable. It happens. But for those who would still like the occasional update, simply type your email address into the form below. I’ll be sending out an email every two weeks or so with the links to the latest updates on my site: blog, writing, portfolio, etc. (You can also use a similar form on the bottom left hand corner of every website page.) This list is for my site updates only. I will not sell, lend, or in any way make this list available for any other purpose. Anyway, I hope most of you will continue reading. I know I’ll continue reading my favorites on Diaryland.
